Job Summary
|
Salary Range: $141,146-$202,898/year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
Role Summary
The Director, Clinical Solutions reports to the Chief Regional Digital Solutions, and is responsible for the design, development, implementation, evolution, operations and evaluation of Digital applications and digital infrastructure for Richmond Hospital Redevelopment. The Director enables project management services that support the innovation and transformation of digital solutions. The Director is accountable for the implementation of long-term and short-term plans, policy developments and operational requirements, including evaluation of services, in relation to the Richmond Hospital Redevelopment. The Director collaborates with other Digital leaders enabling the integration of all services consistent with the annual Digital Health service plan for the consolidated organization. The Director oversees the definition, supervision, and completion of a wide variety of projects involving multidisciplinary teams and will lead a team of experts in the delivery of services and advice.
Key Accountabilities
- Directs the design, development, testing and implementation of application integration and transformation for core clinical, ancillary and specialty solutions that support the continuum of patient care services.
- Supports the development and annual refresh of the clinical solutions roadmap.
- Executes the long term and short term strategy for evolving and transforming digital solutions for Richmond Hospital Redevelopment
- Develops and manages operational budgets; supports annual capital planning process.
- Directs consolidation and rationalization of multiple digital systems across the integrated health enterprise to support improved information sharing and cost effectiveness.
- Directs teams to successfully lead and implement change and support adoption of digital solutions.
- Builds and develops strong management teams.
- Establishes targets and measures performance of systems, applications, key results areas and people.
- Effectively engages stakeholders at all levels of the customer organization.
Qualifications
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in Health Information Sciences or Computing Science or a relevant healthcare discipline and ten (10) years of experience in progressively more responsible information management leadership roles.
- The Director is results oriented and has highly developed leadership skills; demonstrates leadership competencies at the Director level as per the LEADS framework.
- Demonstrated project management experience with multi faceted projects and stringent timelines is required.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead staff.
- Commitment to the value of continuous learning.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to facilitate, negotiate, and persuade others.
- Ability to respond to the needs of stakeholders supported by an acute awareness of the impact of actions.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve with a global perspective in order to incorporate the organization’s systems and strategies when developing viable solutions to problems.
