About the Position
- We are searching for a permanent Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our Finance team.
- PBC’s compensation program is built on a pay-for-performance philosophy, rewarding both individual and organizational achievements. The typical hiring range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, with the starting salary determined based on a combination of skills, education, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, you’ll be eligible for our annual bonus program.

Key Ways This Position Makes An Impact
Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Senior Manager, FP&A leads and manages the FP&A Team, financial planning (budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization), financial modelling, analysis, and business support.
The ideal candidate is a strong finance leader who combines sound technical FP&A skills, strong operational orientation and ability to drive insightful strategic and tactical financial plans in alignment with company strategy and objectives. With at least 5 years in a leadership position, the successful candidate will be a strong people leader capable of mentoring and coaching the FP&A team to support planning, directing, and controlling all aspects of the Team’s operations while working in a complex, collaborative, community-oriented, not-for-profit organization. Exposure to insurance, financial services, retail or other complex high transaction environments will be seen as an asset. This is a highly influential role that will appeal to energetic leaders keen to make an impact both on an overall business, as well as community itself.
As the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leadership & Team Building: Provide strategic leadership to the FP&A team, foster collaboration, and ensure effective staffing levels and team development.
- Strategic Alignment: Provide decision makers with timely financial information and sound financial guidance to enable decisions that are aligned to the strategic vision of the organization. Ensure that the department’s workflow and initiatives align with the organization’s broader strategy. Collaborate with business partners across departments to realize shared goals.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead the preparation of insightful financial reports, summarizing trends, key performance indicators and recommends actionable items to support strategic goals and effective financial management practices. Evaluates complex business cases and tracks associated financial benefits to realization.
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead the organizational budgeting process, including the development of a monthly forecast of net income, maintains a multi-year financial plan used for strategy and scenario planning.
- Complex Financial Modeling: Builds, maintains, and enhances complex financial models to support budgeting, cost analysis, cost allocations, and scenario planning.
Key Experiences You Bring To This Role
- 8 - 10 years of progressive and related experience
- 5+ years of experience in a people leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field including or supplemented by courses in leadership/supervision. It's preferred and considered an asset if you have:
- A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, or equivalent.
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or equivalent.
- A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel and Workday Adaptive Planning would be an asset)
- Excellent listening and communication skills (i.e., verbal, written, and presentation) including the ability to clearly communicate technical, analytical/quantitative, or conceptual information and ideas using language that is appropriate to the target audience.
