Data Analyst for a 4 months contract opportunity is available now in Toronto, ON.

Role Overview:

The Campaign Analysis & Measurements team within our client’s Marketing is seeking an energetic individual that is able to use data and insights to help client deliver value & solve challenging business problems. The successful candidate will join a team of high performing analysts whose primary focus is on Campaign Analysis and Measurements, which is a key driver to understanding our customers and how we interact and market to them. This role requires analytical expertise, direct database marketing (DBM) experience, extensive experience in measuring Campaign effectiveness and providing insight to a variety of business stakeholders. Candidates who are savvy with data and are also comfortable with translating statistical numbers into business insight will thrive in this environment.



• Providing In-campaign pulse reporting and end-of-campaign deep dive analysis to key Marketing stakeholders through thorough analysis of campaign and customer data • Identify and use various client data sources to provide rich and descriptive campaign insights • Engage stakeholders on new business opportunities through analysis and insight of campaign performance data • Build and grow relationships with a variety of client teams • Understand business needs and priorities in order to make informed recommendations and present them in non-technical language at different forums/meetings • Proactively identify creative ways to create capacity through automation, process re-engineering and the development of self-serve dashboards/capabilities. • Assist in the translation of business requirements into technical specifications • Ensure timely completion of analysis while maintaining high quality • Balance the demands of multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining a high level of diplomacy and business client focus • Mentor junior team members in technical know-how and business knowledge • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required

Required Knowledge: • Sound knowledge and best practices in campaign testing, strategy and performance measurement • Strong technical skill in data extraction and analysis • Strong business acumen and the ability to apply analytical problem solving, make recommendations and implement improvements, tailoring the approach to meet varying situations • Understanding of data analysis tools, reporting solutions, and data warehouse technologies


Required Skills & Abilities: • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and in the face of ambiguity • Team player, creative, willing to experiment, persistent and structured • Strong presentation, communication skills to business audience • Proficient with SAS EG, Oracle, and other SQL-based tools • Proficient with Tableau, Cognos or other reporting tools • Intermediate programming skills in SAS • Working knowledge of Unix environments • Understanding of relational database design • Ability to work diplomatically and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment • Ability to translate data to analysis to insight to recommendations • Consult and influence business stakeholders to proactively add value to the end analysis • Excellent time management, project management and organizational skills • Ability to deliver high quality works in a fast pace environment Required Professional Designation/Certification: • University degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics or other quantitative disciplines


Required Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on data analytics/predictive modeling in a marketing environment • Minimum of 5 in a telecommunications industry or other large scale industries • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience using SAS/Oracle tools (EG/TOAD) • Minimum of 5 years in a business/performance analyst role or equivalent experience
