Scope of Services and Deliverables
Adhere to the Scope, Deliverables, Milestones and administrative processes.
Provide timely status reports to the Senior Manager of Business Solutions & Operation, for inclusion in overall project status updates to Executive Management.
Comply with Client’s security procedures and practices.
Comply with the Ontario Public Service (OPS) Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Guidelines.
Document all work and provide skills and knowledge transfer to appropriate Client staff.
o Update systems documentation resulting from fixes/patches or minor enhancements to the legacy applications (e.g. change request submissions, user requirements, class diagrams, workflow documentation, application Inventory changes, etc.)
o Lead and conduct business analysis workshops in order to assess client’s business problems/opportunities and document the resulting business requirements for assigned areas in such way that adequate I&IT solutions can be determined.
o Create detailed system documentation as required for major application changes including:
Activity Planning ( e.g. upkeep of project plans or designated task lists)
User Requirements (e.g. UML or user stories)
Architecture and Design (e.g. business and infrastructure models)
Programming specifications ( e.g. code /module/report specifications); and
Develop System process maps and desk procedures.
Training materials and related communication pieces.
o Develop strategies, prepares business cases and cost-benefit analysis documents, and conducts feasibility studies required for business I&IT initiatives.
o Conducts and documents business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions as applicable for assigned projects.
o Leads and conducts business analysis at varying levels of detail as appropriate and ensuring its alignment with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture and Gating Process, and OPS Standard Systems Development Methodologies.
o Applies re-engineering concepts to promote business process improvements through alternative, cost effective service delivery approaches and document its findings.
o Monitor progress, resolves problems and reports regularly to I&IT management and clients’ decision makers.
o Develop performance measures for business analysis evaluation ensuring proper follow-up with stakeholders.
o Demonstrates political acuity, excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; superior verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
o A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines and deliverables.
