Patient Flow Coordinator
Neonatal Program — Regular Full-time

Reporting to the Program Director/Program Manager, you will coordinate and facilitate bed utilization in the NICU/IN including the patient admission, transfer, and discharge process in collaboration with internal stakeholders, provincial partners, and associated organizations (BC Bed line). Focused on the transfer/discharge process for all babies within the NICU/IN, you will assist caregivers in preparing patients for transfer to an alternate neonatal facility or for discharge home. You will also access and acquire information needed for planning patient moves, and be accountable for the efficient day to day patient flow in the Program, through liaison with the provincial neonatal system.
You hold a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in nursing from an accredited University. Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia, current CRP certification and a minimum of five years recent clinical experience in tertiary neonatal nursing, including two years working in a leadership capacity, is a must. Your demonstrated ability to work independently and creatively includes exceptional problem solving skills, organizational ability, and comfort with managing priorities. You must be able to maximize bed utilization initiatives while ensuring that care and management of neonatal patients and their families is not compromised.
