The BC Cancer Agency (BCCA) is committed to reducing the incidence of cancer, reducing the mortality from cancer, and improving the quality of life of those living with cancer. It provides a comprehensive cancer control program for the people of British Columbia by working with community partners to deliver a range of cancer services, including prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment, research, education, supportive care, rehabilitation and palliative care. The Clinical Nurse Leader, VCC – Fairmont, provides clinical nursing support and administrative support within the Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU), including the Systemic Therapy, Radiation Therapy and the Surgical Oncology Program. Duties include providing clinical guidance to nursing staff, delivering care to patients and families. In collaboration with the Assessment Module Leader, Clinical Nurse Leader ACU at VCC, and the clerical supervisor, coordinates the day-to-day operations of the VCC Fairmont ACU.

The successful candidate would ideally have practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC). In addition to a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, you bring two years’ recent experience which includes teaching and leadership. Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and motivate, adult education skills, ability to establish and meet priorities and excellent written and verbal communication skills complete your profile.
