LifeLabs is currently recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) for our Terrace, BC laboratory. Terrace is located in rural northwestern part of BC. This position is Casual and therefore no hours per week (0 - 37.5 hours per week).




Performs routine Hematology tests including manual differentials, morphologies, ESR and coagulation and miscellaneous hematology testing.  Performs urinalysis testing.  Performs Specimen Management duties for receiving and sending specimens.  Evaluates quality control materials.  Processes and releases accurate patient results.  May include Microbiology setup, culturing and reporting.



  • Registered Technologist with CSMLS (or eligibility for CSMLS), or documented training and credentials/registration from a non-Canadian MLT training institution
  • Recent clinical laboratory experience preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge including keyboarding skill and an ability to work in MS Windows based environment
  • Good problem solving, analytical, organizational, and continuous improvement skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
